Born in Santiago, Danor studied at Universidad Católica de Chile with pianist María Iris Radrigán. Later he continued his studies with Jacob Leuschner at the Hochschule für Musik Köln and with Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum in Austria, graduating with highest distinctions from both Universities. Further studies and collaborations with renowned pianists and professors such as Jacques Rouvier, Julian Martin, Robert McDonald, Matti Raekallio and Pierre-Laurent Aimard, among others, helped him to shape his style and provided him with new perspectives on music as well as valuable ideas that served him as a source of inspiration for his distinctive artistic personality.

His wide repertoire ranges from D. Scarlatti and M. Clementi to G. Ligeti and U. Chin. Additionally, he has strong passion for undeservedly less performed composers such as Enescu, Medtner, Bowen and Soro which often appear on his recital programs and can be heard in his recordings.

Recently, Danor Quinteros released an EP with works of Bartók, Medtner and Ligeti for Leaf Music™ in Canada and has on his agenda future releases for the label KNS Classical.
